Global Reporters Vienna - OPC Prepare For Odudua Republic, MASSOB For Biafra Republic, Boko Haram For Islamic Country As Ogoni Declares Autonomy, Bakassi Declares Independence. Which Way Nigeria?

Oil pollution in Ogoni land
Ken Saro Wiwa stood up against the international conspiracy against his people. He had called the federal government of Nigeria for dialogue in a way that should have fairly addressed the environmental pollution in Ogoni.
But instead of listening to the voice of reasoning the then government of Nigeria ganged up with oil companies, arrested Ken Saro Wiwa and 9 other prominent Ogoni indigenes, arraigned them in a kangaroo court, found them guilty and wickedly hanged them without mercy.
Primary school
Today the Ogoni people have declared autonomy having their own flag and court system but still under Nigeria. This declaration looks dicey because of its implications if other states should decide to follow suits. But do you blame the Ogoni people? Ogoni is a land that is so naturally very rich in oil but it has been so marginalized and neglected that it has no good hospital, no good school, no good road, no good drinking water and no hope for the situation to change in the nearest future. Therefore, the declaration of Ogoni’s autonomy is a clear protest against injustice meted to the people and should be treated as such with carefulness. If the federal government did not send military against Zamfra State when it declared Sharia law and made it supreme against the constitution of Nigeria, the federal government should not send military troops against the Ogoni people or intimidate them in any form because their cause is a justifiable one. The massacre of the Odi people in Bayelsa State is still very fresh in our memories. Once more, the federal government should rather negotiate the way forward with Ogoni and not make the same mistake they made when they declared military war against Biafra in 1967, no matter how the declaration of Ogoni's autonomy may have infringed the constitution of Nigeria.
Ogoni Flag
There should not be any more bloodshed in Ogoni land because the unjustifiable deaths of Ken Saro Wiwa and the 9 other prominent Ogoni indigenes are enough sacrifices.
He who wears the shoes knows where they pinch him. The pains of the Ogoni people as fishermen/women who cannot fish again because of water pollution must be unbearable since fishing is their source of livelihood.
Remember, a country like the US that has got oil sickness is watching and do not forget that it predicted earlier that Nigeria will disintegrate before the 2015 general election. The federal government of Nigeria should not completely rule out that the US or other powerful 5 star countries could be using Ogoni’s declaration as a testing ground. Consequently, the Nigerian government should be fair to the Ogoni people and treat their autonomy declaration with caution and love.
In another development, the people of Bakassi Peninsula have declared their independence and hoisted their blue, white and red flag.
They have also launched a radio station called “Dayspring” (4.MH2 and 5.MH2) which started broadcasting on August 6th, 2012.
It should be recalled that about 11 years ago the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ceded with international conspiracy oil rich Bakassi Peninsula to Cameroon. The Cameroonian soldiers have continued to intimidate and threaten the people since then without the Nigerian government doing enough to protect and help the people. Most displaced Bakassi indigenes who agreed to come to Nigeria after the ceding are homeless refugees miserably living in Nigeria without a place to call their home and without education for their children having lost their culture and heritage to Cameroon.
Bakassi flag
Is there any international backup to Ogoni’s autonomy and Bakassi's declaration? Will Nigeria survive the tempo as Balyelsa State now has a national anthem and legislates on a flag in readiness for an independent state? While Boko Haram fights for an Islamic country, MOSSOB will soon declare Biafra Republic as OPC looks at options for an Odudua Republic. Which way Nigeria?
May God bless Nigeria!
