In a most bizarre manner, unknown men have murdered mother and brother of the personal lawyer to Senator John Akpan James Akpanudoedehe, Barrister Francis Efanga. Dependable sources hinted NaijaLeaks that the incident occurred in Mbiakpana Atan, a village in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The village is a ten-minute drive from Uyo, the state capital.
NaijaLeaks scooped authoritatively that the late Efanga’s brother, who until his death worked with the Federal Road Safety Corp was in the country home of the Efangas on a visit to the mother, Saturday.
It was a distressed Barrister Efanga who confirmed the double murder to NaijaLeaks correspondent earlier this morning.
“I can confirm to you that my mother and my brother were butchered on Saturday night by unknown assailants,” begins Barrister Efanga.
“Please I’m not in a good frame of mind to speak further on the situation at the moment. However, let me say that Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the National Publicity Secretary of the Action Congress of Nigeria is expected to issue an official statement on the incident later today.
Barrister Efanga added that the bodies of his late mother and brother
have been deposited at a mortuary in Uyo.
Investigation by NaijaLeaks indicates that two hit squads exist in
Ibiono Ibom being bankrolled by a top member of the Akwa Ibom State
Government who hails from Ibiono Ibom. The deadly squad is popularly
called United, while the second is referred to as the “Supreme
Council.”
Our correspondent further gathered that the two blood-thirsty groups
are being co-ordinated by one Moses Essien.
The groups, according to investigations by NaijaLeaks, are solely responsible for a string of murder incidents that have taken place in the area in recent time.
Among others, our reporter exclusively gathered that the late Chapter Chairman of ACN Hon Okon was killed by the United hit squad.
