JTF uncovers more dangerous weapons in Kano

The Joint Task Force of Military and SSS, today conducted a pre emptive operations on a hide out of some suspected Gun Men in Gadar Bayero near Tamburawa Village, in Dawakin Kudu LGA of Kano state. A security source said the group intend to carry out series of attacks on the ancient city of Kano during the forth coming
Sallah Eld Fitr. Three persons were arrested and several dangerous weapons recovered including 33 highly placed IEDS, over 739 rounds of Ammunitions.
The operation was conducted at about 6am morning of Saturday was said to be a deadly blow on the alleged members of the terrorists who planned to hit Kano with heavy attack similar to that of the 20th January which claimed hundreds of lives of the innocent people.
Briefing newsmen, Kano state Director of the SSS, Mr. Bassey Ettang, said they carried out the raid based on an intelligent report of the activities of the Terrorists who now relocate to outskirts of Kano and were able to recover some quantity of primed IEDs ready for detonation together with military uniforms for used by the Gun Men.
‘ God willing they have failed we arrested three of the Terrorists who are now under serious interrogations and we also recovered some banners with Arabic inscriptions use for propaganda by the terrorists’.
Mr. Bassey Ettang noted that the joint task force also recovered during the operations 12 assorted magazines, 90 packs of knock out, 3 face mask, 2.5 liters of nitric acids and 55 syringes used by the Gun Men for addiction before carrying out their inhuman acts.
Bassey noted that the three men they have arrested they apprehended them live in the place packing the materials at Gadar Bayero near Tamburawa 10 kilometers in the outskirts of Kano, while the place was said to be used as a farm center for Chickens and other animal boundaries.
‘ this operation was a pre emptive raiding on the suspected terrorists who have been carefully planning to conduct a serious attack on the ancient city of Kano during the coming Sallah celebration, but God in his mercy they have failed because of serious prayers been carried out by the innocent people of Kano’, the SS Director noted.
The director noted that from all indication the Gun men have fled Kano because it is no longer tenable for them to operate within the city but now decided to relocate to the outskirts of the city which by the act of destiny we have also discovered that strategy and now we are on top of them..
Normalcy has since returned to Kano with activities of both businesses and social ones been picking up, while the heavy security check points in and around the state has been relaxed, though still there are a lot of movements of the heavy arm security personnel
