Prof Dora Akunyuli, Minister Of Information has resigned from office. She said she resigned to enable her pursue her political ambition. Her resignation takes effect frm December 16, 2010, she said. During her address to the FEC, she mentioned that it was difficult for her to say goodbye but that she was leaving for good.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says 16 out of 20 missing Direct Data Capturing (DDC) machines, has been recovered. In a statement, Kayode Idowu, the Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega, in Abuja, said the machines were recovered by Thursday afternoon. A Federal High Court yesterday granted an Injunction stopping INEC from continuing with Voters Registration Exercise. Ct. 2 Hon. Justice Ibrahim Auta FHC Abj. (See attached court order1 and Court 2) This followed a suit by the Plaintiff, Bedding Holdings Ltd. against INEC and other 5 Defendants. The Plaintiff's case is that it is the bona fide patentee of two patents to wit: Proof of Address System Scheme (PASS) and Electronic Collapsible Transparent Ballot
