Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi on Wednesday said the audited results of the remaining14 banks would be announced early in October, alluding that they were in better health than those institutions already examined.
“We hope to announce our results by early October. I would say that the results are better than the 10 already examined, that much I can say,” Lamido Sanusi told a meeting of stock brokers in Lagos. The apex bank had on August 14 this year injected $2.6 billion into five under-capitalised banks, namely, Oceanic Bank, Union Bank, Afribank, Finbank And Intercontinental Bank following an earlier examination.
