Ex Enugu Gov Chimaroke-Nnamani Re-arraigned

The Former Enugu State Governor and now a Senator, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani has been re-arraigned before a Federal High Court in Lagos on charges of money laundering to  the tune of N5.4 billion. The arraignment before another judge, Justice Charles Efang Archibong, because the  former presiding judge, Justice Tijani

Abubakar has been transferred to Port  Harcourt division.

Nnamani was previously arraigned at Fed. High Court, Lagos State on 105 counts and was granted bail by court since 2007. Plea was already taken but case was stalled as defence lawyer filed to transfer case to another judge on allegation of bias against trial judge even as counsel has again filed to challenge court jurisdiction. EFCC claims this is an attempt to prolong trial.
Also standing trial with the former governor are: Sunday Onyekazuru Anyago, Sylvia  Onwugbuneli and some companies including Rainbow Net Nigeria Limited, Hillgate  Nigeria Limited, Cosmos F. M., Capital City Automobile Ltd, Reinaissance Hospital  and MEA Elizabeth High School.
