Gbenga Daniel Woos OBJ Again

Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has again extended the olive branch to the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. The embattled governor, who has again embarked on visits to political leaders in the state to plead for peace, visited the retired General last Friday.

Sources at Chief Obasanjo’s Hill Top Villa, along Babangida Boulevard, Abeokuta, revealed to P.M.News that Governor Daniel, who came in from Lagos on Friday, arrived at the Villa at exactly 4.20 p.m.

He was said to be in the company of his Commissioner for Water Resources, Akogun Kola Onadipe, other top officials and his press crew.

He, however, went in with only his commissioner to see the former president.

According to P.M.News sources, the discussion with Obasanjo behind closed doors lasted for only 20 minutes. It was, however, believed that the governor brought Onadipe to apologise to Obasanjo for bad-mouthing him in the past.

Obasanjo, while seeing them off, was overhead asking Governor Daniel why he kept on coming to disturb him.

“I was having my siesta when you came, I don’t like the way you disturbed my sleep,” he said passively.

Information reaching P.M.News revealed that Daniel has launched a fresh move for reconciliation with his opponents.
