It would be recalled that the office of the Attorney-General of the federation recently filed charges against those it said are to appear in court in connection with the scam.
Among these persons are a former Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal A. D. Bello, Alhaji Ibrahim Aliyu, a former federal permanent secretary, Alhaji Gidado Bakare. Bakare was discovered to have used two companies; Intercellular of which he is the Chairman and SHERWOOD Properties in the collection and disbursements of the bribery money.
Already, Construction giants, Julius Berger has entered into plea bargain with the federal government by paying $24million dollars.
Recall that Bodunde Adeyanju confessed to collecting the sum of $6million which was given to a former minister of state for Defence for onward transmission to a political party.
