National President of Ijaw Youth Development Association (IYDA), Henry Oyobolo, has said that the disclosure by the Federal Government on Monday that it found documents that linked some politicians with the activities of militants in the Niger Delta was another propaganda weapon to cover up government’s atrocities in the troubled region.
The activist in an emotion-laden voice told Daily Independent that the new twist was another strategy by Aso Rock to divert attention of what he called “the criminal activities of the Joint Task Force” in the area.
He challenged government “to make public what they claimed they found in the place” insisting that the new development was another move to raise trump up charges against some perceived enemies from the region.
“The federal government thinks that they are smart because their new strategy is propaganda.
We have discovered that the JTF is operating a propaganda center that is dishing out terrible lies to the public. Let the government make the names of those involved public if they are sure of their facts.
“I am a student of law and we deal with evidence. Let them (FG) come up with genuine evidence and let the world know those that are behind the imbroglio.
