Lagos: Economic performance in 2008 was not quite satisfactory. During the year, economic management was predicated on the need to consolidate past macro-economic and budget reforms. In this regard, the federal government identified infrastructural deficiency as the single most important constraint to economic activities. Government therefore set out to give priority attention to improvement in physical infrastructure, particularly power and transportation.
