The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Thursday expressed its resolve to join in the war against HIV and AIDS. Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna, the NLC Vice President, Issa Aremu, said this was to protect members from becoming easy prey to the scourge. Aremu said the congress had entered into an agreement with relevant authorities and organisations, including the national and state action committees on AIDS. Aremu, also the General Secretary of the National Union of Textile Workers (NUTGTWN), stressed the urgent need for a collaborative action against HIV and AIDS by all segments of the society.
