Resident Electoral Commissioner Resigns

The Ekiti State Resident Electoral Commissioner in the deadlocked governorship election re-run has resigned. Saharareporters learns that Mrs. Ayoka Adebayo sent her resignation to Yar’adua this morning in response to lies told by INEC chairman, Maurice Iwu that she took “ill”. Saharareporters had revealed yesterday that Mrs. Adebayo was hale and hearty, but had avoided being used by Yar’adua and Maurice Iwu to announce “doctored” eletions results that would have given the election to the PDP candidate, Segun Oni.

In a yet to be released letter of resignation she complains of threats to her  life; chronicles intimidation and harassment from PDP elements wanting her to declare Segun Oni as governor-elect.
