“We discussed matters of common interest, how to reinforce friendship and brotherliness between the Ijaw nation and Igbo nation, as a base for expanding such cooperation and fraternity beyond these two units, and more and more into the country. The visit that Ohaneze Ndigbo undertook recently, to Yenegoa, Bayelsa State on the 6th of July, was a return courtesy call to appreciate the fraternal initiative the Ijaws already showed. And we were very well received in Yenegoa; we continued to discuss matters of common interest to Ndigbo, as a nation in Nigeria and the Ijaw people also as a nation in Nigeria. At the end of it, we paid a courtesy call on the governor, of Bayelsa State, Chief Timipriye Sylva.
And then went back to our bases. So, the significance is that the Ijaws and the Igbos who are neighbors are more and more trying to ensure friendly and harmonious existence between two peoples that God put together. And we believe it’s a welcome development. And we intend as Ohaneze Ndigbo to extend the same kind of cooperation and understanding to other ethnic units in Nigeria .The Ijaws are doing the same. We intend to continue to do the same. But what you are seeing is a base where two neighbors have come together to encourage harmonious relationship between two important ethnic units in this part of our country.”

Ndeewo nu.
The recent brouhaha raised by the lockout of the eminent, courageous and very brave Igbo leaders assembled in Imo state is an event that demands close examination. Their gripe and public show of courage and bravery is highlighted below in the article from Daily Sun.
“The Igbo leaders, who were disallowed into the hotel hall to hold their meeting included former Vice President, Dr Alex Ekwueme, former governors Chris Ngige, Achike Udenwa, Dr Sam Egwu, Senator Jim Nwobodo, former chairman of Police Commission, Chief Simeon, Okeke, former CBN governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, one-time minister, Prof ABC Nwosu, Chief Dubem Onyia, former vice presidential aspirant of ANPP, Senator Ben Obi, former minister, Mrs Chinwe Obaji, Senator Ken Nnamani, Chief Udenta Udenta, Amb. Aja Nwachukwu, among others.
But determined to hold the much-publicised all Igbo Political Stakeholders Conference, the conveners moved to the front of Concorde Hotel, directly under the sun, erected their public address system and addressed the surging crowd who had become angry over the insult hurled at the Igbo leaders.
In a communiqué signed by the Secretary General of the Igbo Political Forum, Chief Chyna Iwuanyanwu, the conveners of the conference said they resolved to bring the unsavoury political situation to the attention of relevant authorities in the country, as well as all regional and international organisations that Nigeria belongs to such as ECOWAS, AU and UN.
“The conveners have also resolved to draw the attention of the major diplomatic missions in Nigeria to this development, as well as the international agencies supporting Nigeria’s democratic transition.
“The conveners of the conference have also resolved that the Igbo 2015 presidency project is non-negotiable and maintain that the equality of the zones must be achieved through the creation of a sixth state in the South-east under special constitutional regime as was done in the case of the Doctrine of Necessity that elevated Vice President Goodluck Jonathan to the position of Acting President and as may be accomplished given the INEC’s request for extension of time to conduct the 2011 general elections,” they said.
….
It is unfortunate for what we have seen here but we as Igbo people cannot be intimidated in our own home. this is a democracy, people were allowed to meet in Kaduna, Ibadan, Uyo, there is no human being born by a woman that can intimidate the Igbo people from meeting. When the governors met in Enugu, they never sought anybody’s mandate, we are playing democracy and democracy must survive here and must prevail. We want people to speak for themselves, we want people to be free, we want people to express their opinion and at the end we will collate these opinions and take a stand. The minimum we demand is that 2015 cannot be compromised under any guise.”

What a lesson in courage! Anyone that now describes these Igbo leaders as spineless and backboneless is either misinformed or have no idea what he/she is talking about. One can visualize as these great men stoke out their chest in defense of their right to sell Ndi Igbo once more a pie in the sky – “In a communiqué signed by the Secretary General of the Igbo Political Forum, Chief Chyna Iwuanyanwu, the conveners of the conference said they resolved to bring the unsavoury political situation to the attention of relevant authorities in the country, as well as all regional and international organisations that Nigeria belongs to such as ECOWAS, AU and UN.”
Are we to assume that for the past 40 years as the Genocaust (Igbo genocide and holocaust), marginalization, brutalization, collected punishment of Igbo continued, these our brave leaders and now exposed prostitutes (money na hand, back na ground) continued to practice the politics of appeasement, and continued to embrace the policy of, see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil; even when they knew they could have brought the Igbo complaint, “the unsavoury political situation to the attention of relevant authorities in the country, as well as all regional and international organisations that Nigeria belongs to such as ECOWAS, AU and UN;” and did nothing?
Lets hear them:
“It is unfortunate for what we have seen here but we as Igbo people cannot be intimidated in our own home. this is a democracy, people were allowed to meet in Kaduna, Ibadan, Uyo, there is no human being born by a woman that can intimidate the Igbo people from meeting.
So, for the past forty years, the ploy to see nothing, say nothing and do nothing as the humiliation, abuse, marginalization of OHA, imposition of thieves and 419‘ers over OHA, etc, continued in full force was deliberate?
Why should any be surprised at their demand which seem to have been coordinated with their masters:
“Babangida said that he had great admiration for the Igbo and would continue to work with them in all his endeavour, just as he reaffirmed his commitment to a president of Igbo extraction by 2015 in line with the zoning formula of the PDP, which he said he believed in.”

Is it not interesting that these abominable people that they (great Igbo leaders) continue to embrace could have thrown some bone no matter how small the way of OHA but refused? If in the past forty years at every opportunity they relished their collective punishment of the Igbo, why should OHA now believe that they now have a mind change? Why should OHA care?
Are these great Igbo leaders not members of the so-called Apex organization, Ohaneze, the mouth piece of Igbo? Can it be interpreted that Ohaneze is opposed to their position, and since their masters are demanding payback for the many years of their being funded or hell would break loose, they have no choice but show their continuing loyalty?

As Goodluck Jonathan continue to roll out real projects to Ndi Igbo and other nations that had been left out, not the pie in the sky promised Ndi Igbo by the cabal that has held Nigeria in its grip for the past forty years, these abominable leaders who have used and abused Igbo will be exposed for the traitors they always were – TUFIAKWA!
There are those who might assume that Goodluck is now the savior Nigeria has been waiting for, NO, far from it, but he could be considered as the savior that the nations in Nigeria have been waiting for since his presidency will finally expose the un-workability of Nigeria and hasten the peaceful fracturing of Nigeria into workable pieces that have things in common.
