Save Nigeria Group (SNG), a pro-democracy coalition, comprising civil society groups, activists, opposition politicians, opinion leaders and workers which marched through London,United Kingdom on Friday to protest the long absence of President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua from Aso Rock, Nigeria.
Over two hundred Nigerians braved the cold to show their anger over the disappearance of the Nigerian president Umaru Yar’adua and his refusal to hand over to his deputy, Jonathan Goodluck.
Speaking to Elombah.com, the leader of the Nigeria Liberty Forum, My Kayode Ogundamisi said he was quite impressed with the turn out.
Another member of the Save Nigeria Movement, Mr Mahmud praised the attendees saying that this is the highest turn out of Nigerians in any political event in London.
Showing there is a future for democracy in Nigeria, showing that Nigerians are ready for the consolidation of democracy in Nigeria, he added.
