Abdulmumin Jibrin Swallows His Vomit, Backs Buhari

The former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin has retracted his steps and is drumming support for President Muhammadu Buhari for the 2019 presidential election.

This was after he threw jabs and insults at President Buhari barely one year ago telling him to go and rest.

In a series of tweets, Jibrin openly threw support behind Buhari and cast aspersions on the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

See tweets:

Jibrin represents Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency of Kano State and had had a running battle with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara.

He also accused the House leadership, especially three other principal officers, of corruption and inserting illegal projects worth billions of naira in the 2016 budget.

In a series of tweets titled, “PMB, TIME TO LET GO”, Jibrin advised Buhari to go and rest, saying that illness was slowing him down from the running of affairs in the country.

He had written:

“So many issues are left unattended even small issues that a presidential cough can deal with are left hanging”.

“At PMB’s age, working actively for over 50 years, even without his present health condition, his capacity will be greatly challenged.”

“Life and health belong to God but the more I see pictures of Mr President, the more I am convinced he needs to go and rest. He needs it!”

Jibrin has since deleted the tweets from his handle.

What remains unclear is  why he is now campaigning vigorously for Buhari’s re-election after telling him that he is incompetent to run the affairs of the country.
