Adam Oshiomole Calls Akpabio “Thief” During APC Rally
The chairman of the All progressives Congress [APC], Mr. Adam Oshiomhole, on Wednesday, directly or indirectly, called Senator Godswill Akpabio a “thief”.
Mr. Oshiomhole, a former governor of Edo State, resorted to the name-calling during a rally organised to welcome Senator Akpabio, who just defected to the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP].
Ironically, Oshiomhole said that PDP, Akpabio’s former party, “stole from Akwa Ibom for sixteen years”.
Interestingly, out of those sixteen years, Akpabio was a PDP Commissioner for eight years and a PDP Governor for another eight.
Moreover, Mr. Victor Attah (also now in APC) ruled for 8 years.
Interestingly, Akpabio was clapping all through for him while Oshiomhole called an administration he presided over a “thief”, to the admiration of Akpabio!
In the words of a concerned citizen and keen observer of politics: “APC destroyed Akwa Ibom for 16 years!”
Earlier, ElombahNews reported that Senator Akpabio has formally decamped APC) at a mega rally held at the Ikot Ekpene township stadium on Wednesday.
Akpabio is defecting along with many of his supporters from PDP.
No fewer than 30 APC’s senators and members of National Working Committee (NWC) were on hand to receive the ex-senate minority leader, Akpabio.
