After Fire Outbreak, Berlin Airport Terminals Reopens For Business. After fire outbreak, Berlin Airport terminals reopens for business.

It should be noted that  terminals A and B at the Berlin Schoenefeld Airport were evacuated early on Friday after the Federal Police said that a fire broke out in a snack bar, injuring two.

The terminals has thus resumed normal flight operations as no flight cancelation was made.

 “The fire broke out shortly before 8 a.m.at a fast-food stand outside the main building.

“It was extinguished within minutes,’’ the police said.

Two snack-bar workers have been taken to hospital, an airport spokesman said. Continuing he said, that smoke were seen from the indoors, meaning that the terminals had to be ventilated. 

Frustrated travellers were seen gathered at the car park outside the terminal. 

 “Terminal D cleared due to suspected tear gas. Fire brigade ventilates building,” according to twit from Berlin Airport.
