Again suspected Boko Haram militants attack Dapchi
Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists have, late Monday evening, attacked Dapchi, the hometown of Leah Sharibu who was abducted by the terrorists and kept in captivity long after fellow school girls were released.
The girls were abducted from their hostels at Government Girls’ Science and Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi which is the headquarters of Bursari Local government in Yobe state.
According to multiple sources, the militants stormed Dapchi in a convoy and ransacked the town.
One of the sources said the attackers set the palace of Dapchi District head ablaze leaving the residents scampering for their safety.
It was also gathered many were injured in the frenzy while the assailants raided shops nd carted away food and other items.
No figure has been placed on the casualties as at press time as the attack is going when the news was broken by this medium.
