Agba Jalingo released after 6 months in detention
Journalist Agba Jalingo has been released from prison custody after meeting his bail conditions, six months after incarceration in prison.
Multiple sources confirmed this to ElombahNews on Monday.
Jalingo was arrested in August, 2019, by the police in on the orders of Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade.
He was subsequently arraigned for treason and attempting to overthrow the state government due to highly critical articles he published.
ElombahNews, however, recently published a video showing Governor Ayade regretting that Jalingo’s arrest is not justified.
the Cross River Watch publisher was subsequently granted bail last week and released today.
