The publisher and editors of Community Watchdog Newspapers have petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase over alleged threat to their lives by one Uche Nwosu.
In the petition signed by the editor, Sir (Chief) Bonny Ajuogu, the complainants alleged that Mr. Uche Nwosu, a personal in-law to Governor Rochas Okorocha [pictured above], and his Chief of Staff and other beneficiaries and other hangers-on have made several phone calls threatening their lives.
According to Chief Ajuogu, the “threat is coming closely on the heels of the publications of allegations of the alleged stealing of the sum of N5 Billion allegedly from the N26.8Billion Bailout funds approved and released to Imo State, by the cook attached to Uche Nwosu.”
It could be recalled that Uche Nwosu was the former Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Urban Planning in Imo State under Governor Okorocha.
