Regardless of the preparation of the security agencies and INEC, the fact remains that the battle starts and stops with the electorate. Yes, there may be issues with the elections, oh bye the way, no where in the world is election perfect. There will certainly be court challenges – provisions have been made for that.
The most important thing is for people to turn out in gud numbers for the elections. Anyone talking about or advising to boycott the elections is I’ll advised at best or stupidly ignorant at worst. My reason for arguing for or supporting the elections is simple: there is no minimum or maximum turnout to validate or invalidate the elections. So boycotting it is meaningless and stupid. Whatever happens, there must be a result regardless of who wins. Challenge me and or the law if I’m mistaken.
So the good people of Anambra should come out in droves to vote, to exercise their right to elect who will decide their fate. Whether u like it or not, vote or didn’t vote, someone will occupy the govt house in Awka. Why not influence who will occupy it?
