Sen Andy Uba, leading aspirant in the fast approaching Anambra governorship election under the All Progressives Congress, APC, will be screened ahead of 13 others at the national party secretariat in Abuja tomorrow.
According to the screening time table made available by APC, Sen. Uba is scheduled for the exercise between 2 PM and 2-30 PM on 15, June 2021.
The Senator, in experience and political savvy towers above other contestants in the race, not only in APC, but also across parties lining up for the electoral contest.
Sen. Uba, aside being a many terms lawmaker at the Senate was a presidential aide to a former president, an elected governor and strong party stalwart believed to share strong relationship with the presidency.
He is a reputed grassroots politician with vast tentacles across the South East and the country at large.
Sen. Uba is also famous for his deep pocket which has made him one of the biggest philanthropists from the east.
He sponsored scholarship schemes, created empowerment platforms backed with funds; he has also been involved in communal building projects not only Uga, his home town, but across Anambra state and even beyond.
He is also credited as one of the big financiers of the APC.
Ahead the forth coming Anambra State election, APC will be looking to upstage the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, which has steadily maintained a strangle hold on the governorship seat of the state.
As also learnt, the ruling party at the federal is seeking out strong candidates with requisite resources to battle the electoral contest in Anambra.
Other aspirants for tomorrow’s screening include Nwokafor Amobi Daniel, George Muoghalu, Paul Izuchukwu Orajiaka, Chief Edozie Madu, and many others.
