Anambra 2021: Soludo storms Ihite, says APGA will contest every vote
By Christian Aburime
Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gubernatorial candidate has reassured Anambra people and Nigerians that his Party will legitimately contest for every vote in the coming governorship election in Anambra state
Soludo was speaking against the backdrop of the incessant boastings of his political opponents who have vowed to “take” Anambra state by force.
The former CBN Governor bared his mind at Ihite, Orumba South LGA, at a reception organised in his honour by Architect Michael Okonkwo, Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development to drum support for his governorship bid
He reiterated that APGA will follow all legitimate means as laid down by the Nigerian electoral laws to win the November 6, Anambra governorship election without recourse to violence, intimidation or coercion
The voice of the people, Soludo said, will prevail on November 6, when voting would have been concluded.
He therefore urged the thousands of enthusiastic supporters who came to welcome him at Ihite, to take full advantage of the on-going INEC continuous voters registration as the key weapon in determining the future of the state
He told the people that “Anambra belongs to APGA and APGA belongs to Anambra” adding that the people must brace up to defend their votes at their various wards and polling booths
He again commended Governor Willie Obiano for laying the ‘pillars of foundation’ in infrastructural development in the state which he will build on to take Anambra to the next level
He assured the people that Anambra will continue to be prosperous with APGA in government to continue to provide the dividends of democracy to all
He appreciated the supporters’ patience by apologising for coming late to the venue saying it was due to other prior engagements which he was already committed to
Speaking earlier, his host, Architect Michael Okonkwo, Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development said Cee Cee Soludo’s governorship bid was God ordained.
The youthful looking commissioner expressed gratitude to Governor Obiano and also described him as a great leader who wants the best for Anambra people by presenting and solidly supporting Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo to succeed him
He called on the supporters to rally round Soludo and vote massively for him as APGA’s candidate in the coming governorship election in the state
Hon Ben Ibekwe, APGA Zonal Chairman, Southern Senatorial Zone also assured Soludo of the massive support of the people of the zone. He described Soludo as the best and most competent candidate that will take Anambra state to the next level
Other eminent political titans and stakeholders also took turns to speak and eulogize Soludo as the most qualified and competent governorship candidate to succeed Governor Willie Obiano come March, 17, 2022
