What Obiano and APGA victory in Anambra means and its implication on Nigerian politics and 2019 elections
First of all, I congratulates Governor Willie Obiano and the people of Anambra State for a peaceful election.
This election has showed the world that Nigerians are committed to choosing their leaders through peaceful and transparent democratic process.
This election also signaled the return to regional dominated parties. With each region voting predominantly for the party and candidates associated and connected to their region.
This election is possibly the end of the Central ruling party influencing State and local elections in favor of their party.
What can we expect in 2019?
APC would be split into two; Northern APC and South West APC with each taking a new name.
PDP would become a Northern and South South Party and APGA would be the dominant party for the South East.
My projection for elections outcome in 2019 is as follows:
The gubernatorial and local elections would be won by the regional parties except in the north where their votes would be split between two parties.
The presidential election would be won by the party that nominates a candidate who can articulate solutions to the monumental problems facing Nigerians.
Also the presidential winning party would be the one that can carry South West, South South, half of South East and one third of the north.
