Anambra Is In Ruins! The Awka Millennium City Scam

Awka Millennium City Scam

Anambra is in ruins! The master of Scam is at it again.

Shortly before Mr. Obi left, arrangement was concluded to start the Greenwood project, which was essentially building a new city. It was planned to house the three arms zone and over 10% Mobilisation was paid for a new Government house, Chief Judges’s House and Speaker’s house, among others.

Adverts were put out and billions of Naira raised through expression of interests. People interested in getting plots paid N22,000 each. The money was paid in a dedicated account for the project. By the time Obi left office, the account had billions of Naira.

As soon as Gov. Obiano took over, he appointed an SA in charge of the programme, who was later dismissed for not agreeing with him on how to go.

Very soon after the sack, he stopped the contracts and till now not even a word on the money already collected from people, which ran into billions. I expect those concerned to go to court and stop the perpetuation of scam, which is what he is currently going.

What of the billions set aside for the completion of the projects- three arms zone?

For those trying to invest in the scam, ask yourselves what is the fate of many housing estates Obiano flagged of. He simply gives land to his friend which they sell to people and share the money.

In the case of the Millennium Estate to be flagged of on the 19th, Obiano is simply the owner of the estate and the consequence is that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] may seize the property.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed!

Anambra is in ruins!
