*Zones 2017 Anambra Governorship to Anambra North Senatorial region **Enjoins Ndi Anambra to join PDP or APC.
Anambra stakeholders under the umbrella of Anambra Union today met at Nnewi and after a closed-door meeting zoned the November election to Anambra North Senatorial region.
According to the communique issued at the end of the meeting and obtained by APGA Interactive Forum media, the stakeholders appealed to Anambra Central and South senatorial zones to allow only the north to field candidates in this election.
The stakeholder’s forum known as Anambra Union led by an elder and veteran, Prof ABC Nwosu in their communique unanimously agreed that whoever must aspire to govern Anambra State in this year’s election and thereafter must be an intelligent leader of men, accomplished in learning and human management.
“It would be wrong for Anambra State, a State that produced the great Zik of Africa and Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu among other giants at this stage of its development to elect an IGNORAMUS, who is totally disconnected from the grassroots as Governor of Anambra State,” the communique read in part.
The UNION agreed on the need for the next Governor of Anambra State to belong to either of the two national parties of APC or PDP, saying that regional party like APGA has not and cannot help Igbo agenda, saying it is time to hook Anambra State to the centre.
The Union said it will support only candidates that emerge from Anambra north senatorial zone on the platform of either APC or PDP as having an APGA gov who doesn’t belong to any govs forum meeting such as PDP govs forum or APC govs forum is no longer healthy.
The Union said it will publicly support a candidate from Anambra north who will do only one term of four years and return power to Anambra South senatorial zone.
Below is the communique and position of the Anambra State stakeholders meeting chaired by Prof ABC Nwosu.
The Communique was signed by Prof ABC Nwosu, Chairman, Hon Ohaegbu Obunike former federal commissioner, Secretary, and one person from each of the three senatorial zones in the state.
About 54 Major Stakeholders attended the meeting today at Nnewi while SENATOR Andy Ubah attended the first meeting at Abuja, most of the National Assembly members from Anambra also attended.
