Anambra Progressives hold int’l trade exhibition with Turkey
The Anambra Progressives Development Union held an International trade exhibition session where companies from various sectors of the Turkish economy made extensive presentations.
According to Mr. Vin Onyeka, the Secretary to the Anambra Progressives Diaspora, the trade exhibition session had the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and top officials of the Nigerian Embassy in Turkey in attendance.
The exhibition consisted of presentations from numerous industries including building materials, security doors, diapers, sanitary wears, clothing and textiles, petrochemical products, home appliances and accessories, etc.
The Anambra Progressives also held a strategic investment meeting with the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Investment Promotion Agencies where they discussed modalities for Turkey to expand its relations with Anambra significantly.
This would see the Turkish Government through its Foreign Trade Authority, build an institutional partnership with Anambra State to create mechanisms for Turkish and Anambra economic actors to invest in each other’s economy.
During the session, the Chief Convener of Anambra Progressives; Senator Ifeanyi Ubah stated that he understands the role of the private sector as the key driver of the economy.
He said, therefore, that he is committed to making Anambra one of the most attractive destinations in terms of Ease of Doing business in West Africa.
Undoubtedly, Turkey possesses insightful experience and expertise in Industrialization and Manufacturing which Anambra can tap into to enhance its quest for improved economic development.
