Anambra South: Ukachukwu Loses Again, APGA Has No Candidate

There was a court sitting at the FCT High Court Apo, Abuja today. The court heard the application of stay of execution filled by Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu, the sacked APGA candidate for Anambra south senatorial zone.

At the hearing today, chief Nicholas Ukachukwu who earlier called the FCT high court judgement a ‘kangaroo’ but surprisingly returned to the same court to seek for stay of execution, shocked his followers when his lawyer asked the court to strike his application out.

Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu told the trial court that he had approached the Appellate Court and that his application for stay of execution is no longer necessary.

The court thereafter struck out his application for stay of execution. With the latest ruling from the FCT high court Abuja, APGA will not participate in the 2019 Anambra south senatorial election.

Though Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu has approached the Appeal Court, it is highly doubtful if the Appellate Court will determine his case before February 16, National Assembly election.

It is barely a month to the election and the appeal court has not listed his appeal.

APGA members from Anambra north should make haste to adopt a candidate between Andy Ubah of APC, Chris Ubah of PDP and Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah of YPP.

Andy Ubah and APC are forbidden choice.

Chris Ubah of PDP is not even campaigning. He is not running.

The only candidate who has shown seriousness and has been reaching out, talking to the street and voters is Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah of YPP.

Ndi APGA should take decision between these three.

It is very unfortunate, but APGA and Ukachukwu are out. What happened at the court today was an indication that Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu has accepted has given up.

Meanwhile, the FCT high court Apo, Abuja has issued FORM 48 to INEC, after the court struck out Ukachukwu’s stay of execution.

The form 48 directed INEC chairman, the commission and its staff NOT to list the name of Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu and APGA as participant to the 2019 Anambra south senatorial election as any such violation will attract a court contempt.

It was gathered that the Form 48 has been served on INEC. What Ukachukwu is suffering today is the 21/21 agreement.

APGA sold out Anambra south senatorial zone ticket to win the governorship election.

APGA members in Anambra south should join the moving train and adopt their own in another party to remain relevant.
