The National Working Committee [NWC] of the All Progressives Grand Alliance , APGA has expressed great satisfaction with the Enugu High Court for its judgment on Monday.
The Enugu Court had, in its ruling, affirmed the decisions of the NWC to appoint Ochoudo Martin Agbaso as the party chairman.
In a letter signed by the Acting National Publicity Secretary, Onapuruagu Prince Ukaegbu Esq., the party thanked the ruling judge for “effectively repudiating the Charade foist on the party by the erstwhile accidental national chairman, Victor Ike Oye and his co-travelers.”
Recall that ictor Oye was eventually deposed, which gave room for the mergence of Ozo Nwabueze Okafor, a.k.a. Okpochengene.
Recall also that Okpochengene slumped and died shortly after he was designated as the new chairman.
The APGA NWC statement reads in full:
The National Working Committee of All Progressives Grand Alliance , APGA commend the erudite, fearless and well reasoned Orders as Contained in the Judgment of Hon. Justice A.R Ozoemena of the Enugu High Court delivered this morning, 22nd May 2017, affirming and giving effect to the decisions of the National Working Committee of our great party appointing Ochoudo Martin Agbaso, frontline APGA stake holder and founding member/financier and effectively repudiating the Charade foist on the party by the erstwhile accidental national chairman, Victor Ike Oye and his co-travelers.
The said judgment has re-kindled the hope and enthusiasm of the members and teeming supporters of our great party on the judiciary as the bastion and the last hope of the down trodden.
Members and supporters who had watched helplessly as our great party hemorrhaged members and goodwill as the party Spiraled out of control and into oblivion in the hand of mercenaries and grave diggers who masquerade as officers of the party can now heave a sigh of relief.
The National Working Committee of our great party under the leadership of Ochoudo Martin Agbaso shall take steps to halt the slide in the fortunes of the party and to reposition it to achieve victory in the November 18th gubernatorial election in Anambra State and Subsequent elections notably Ekiti, Osun 2018 and 2019 General Elections.
Of course those who have appointed themselves the undertakers of APGA will without doubt fight back with their repertoire of confusion, inducement, bribery, threat and intimidation all at maintaining their stranglehold to enable them continue to feed fat from the fortunes of the party.
The Leadership of the party wishes to assure our teeming members and supporters that we shall no longer allow passersby and strangers expelled from the party to continue to denigrate and whittle down the heritage bequeathed us by the pride of the Igbo race, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (The Eternal Leader of our great party)
The leadership of our great party under Ochoudo Martin Agbaso shall commence broad based reconciliation to woo back those who were wronged, insulted, forced to abandon the party or who became disillusioned by the rudderless voyage of the Oye administration.
APGA would be returned to the part of honour and glory which saw the party doing exploits not just in the South East zone but in the entire country.
Never again shall our great party be ridiculed, debased and brought this low.
