Bandits demand half a million dollars, equivalent sum allegedly paid by Greenfield varsity parents to release Bethel school students

Terror bandits, terrorizing the Northeast, Northwest and Northcentral of Nigeria are allegedly demanding over half a million dollars, equivalent amount allegedly paid by the Greenfield University parents for the release of their children from captivity
Recall that Bandits on the 5th of July 2021 stormed Bethel Secondary School, Maramara Chickun Local Government Area of Kaduna State and kidnapped scores of students.
While in April, 20 students and two staff of Greenfield University, Kaduna state, were abducted when terror bandits also attacked the institution.
Moreover, one of the students was released, five of them were killed by the assailants, who further threatened to kill the others if a ransom was not paid.
In May, the remaining 14 students were released from captivity by their abductors. A parent of one of the abducted students said the bandits were paid N180 million before they were released.
However, a source who spoke with Elombahnews said the kidnappers of the students are demanding over half a million dollars again for the release of the Bethel Secondary school students
The source said, “The kidnappers of the Greenfield University students collected almost half a million dollars as ransom.
“The kidnappers of students of Bethel Baptist High School are demanding almost an equivalent sum; the parents are helpless.
“Where is their Government and where is their country?”
