Some 50 persons have reportedly been kidnapped by bandits in various parts of Niger State late Tuesday evening.
The victims include three commercial vehicles conveying 27 passengers along with other villagers.
The three commercial vehicles reportedly had nine passengers on board each when they were abducted along with the drivers.
According to reports, the bandits blocked the highway at Kundu town along Tegina-Minna Road in the state where they abducted their victims.
They later proceeded to Gidigori town in Rafi Local Government Area where they also kidnapped an unspecified number of villagers.
Reports also said they burnt five vehicles and carted away valuables during the raid.
Neither the State Government nor the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun has issued a statement to confirm the incidents.
