Bandits have killed another set of two students of Greenfield University in Kaduna.
Recall that unknown bandits, last week, kidnapped some forty students of the University.
The bandits, on Friday, killed three of the students and dumped their body in a village close to the university.
The body were recovered by security operatives and handed over to the Malam Nasir El-Rufai-led state government.
With their condition not yet met, the abductors also, on Monday, killed two of the students, bringing the slain total to five.
Confirming the latest development, the Kaduna State Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs in State, Mr. Samuel Aruwan said:
“On a sad note, security agencies have just reported to Kaduna State government the recovery of two more dead bodies of Greenfield University students, killed by armed bandits today (yesterday) Monday, April 26, 2021.
“The retrieved corpses have been evacuated to a mortuary, and the university has been notified of the development.
“The government of Kaduna State under the leadership of Malam Nasir El-Rufai is saddened by this evil perpetrated against innocent students abducted while pursuing their education for a glorious future.
“The government sends its deep empathy to their families and the university management, and prays for the repose of their souls.
“The government will update the citizenry on further developments.”
Meanwhile, the bandits are demanding N800 million ransom from the parents of the abductor, failure of which they threatened to kill all forty students.
