The Igbo Cultural Association (ICA), Adamawa state chapter has commended Governor Muhammadu Umar Jibrilla Bindow over his effort in maintaining peace and unity in the state.
The President General ICA Chief Fidelis Umeh who made the disclosure during a press conference at the Nigerian Union of Journalist press center yesterday, maintained that Bindow has succeeded inmaintaining peaceful co-existence among diverse people of the state irrespective of tribal and religious belief.
According to him, Bindow is a role model of positive change and development that have contributed immensely in creating a peaceful, admirable and flourishing Adamawa state.
“Bindow has brought positive change and development to the state barely two years into his administration, this change is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf, the dream of remolding Adamawa into a true land of beauty is now becoming a reality”, Umen stated.
“We the entire Igbo community in the state want to to use this opportunity to appreciate your hospitality and tolerance to primordial, ethnic and religious differences”.
While promising to to remain law abiding citizens and to always offer un-flinching support to the government and people of the state Umeh tasked his members across the state to remain calm and go on their normal businesses.
‘‘We also want to use this occasion to reiterate our solidarity with a united Nigeria where equity, fairness, justice and equality to opportunity are topmost” the ICA presidents general affirmed.
