Bindow is having a progressive govt, Says retired Perm sec
The Muhammadu Umar Jibrilla Bindow’s-led administration in Adamawa State has been commended over the developmental strides recorded within a short time.
Barnabas Galadima Pata, a retired permanent secretary with state Ministry of Environment gave the commendation when he picked the All Progressives Congress (APC), membership card at Pariya ward in Fufore Local Government Area.
Pata who lauded the achievement of the APC-led government also announced his intention to contest for the House of Assembly election in 2019.
According to him, the need to join active politics was borne out of the desire to give his people at the local, state and national level the much needed representation.
“The fact that I am retired does not mean I am tired, the fact that I am retired does not mean I don’t have anything to offer, I have gained wealth of experience in my 35 years in the civil service which I believe will help me make meaningful contributions in the development of my local government, state and Nigeria as a whole”, he stated.
Pata, a one time sole Administrator of Fufore Local Council said he has decided to pitch his tent under the ruling party because he believes in the party’s philosophy, ideas and fundamental political position.
Earlier, Alhaji Muhammadu Iya Daware, the district head of Daware had given Pata his blessing and promised to support him in his political endeavour.
New Nigerian reports that Pata was registered and issued with APC membership card by his ward chairman.
The event was attended by prominent politicians within and outside Fufore, party state Excos, ward chairmen and supporters of APC.
