Presently, there are reports that debris has been found in the area where search and rescue operations for Sriwijaya Air flight are being conducted.
However, there is no confirmation they belong to the Boeing 737 aircraft.
The missing plane, it was gathered, is an older model than the Boeing 737 MAX jet involved in two earlier fatal crashes – including the Indonesian Lion Air crash in 2018 which killed 189 persons on board.
