Boko Haram Attack Military Base In Borno, Kill 15 Soldiers, Cart Away Weapons
Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have attacked a military base in Borno State Killing a captain, a lieutenant and 13 other soldiers in the process.
According to reports, the insurgents rode into Magumeri Local Government Area of the state at about 6pm on Friday and sacked a brigade there.
Report available to ElombahNews further shows nineteen officers wounded were wounded and have been evacuated to a military hospital in Maiduguri, the state capital.
The attack came less than two weeks after some suspected terrorists reportedly invaded a base occupied by Nigerian soldiers in Mararabar Kimba, some kilometres from Maiduguri.
Information also revealed that the insurgents stole heavy military equipment, including anti-aircraft machine guns and Toyota Hilux vehicles during the attack.
Meanwhile, other soldiers that survived the attack have abandoned the base to a safer military facility, ElombahNews gathered .
