BREAKING: 10 IPOB members granted bail by Abia High Court


Then members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been granted bail by the High Court of Justice sitting in Umuahia, Abia State.

The ten activists were arrested nearly ten months ago since October 2020 and have been detained at prison custody in Umuahia.

They were granted bail after several application and motion for bail was filed by Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s law firm and were represented by Barrister Austin Ezeokeke Esq.

Speaking, Barrister Ejiofor said that the bail condition was lenient and assured that it will perfected within a short time period.

Recall that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was recently abducted in Kenya and repatriated to Nigeria where he is currently in the custody of the Department of State Security (DSS).

Nnamdi Kanu is facing charges bordering on treason and sponsoring of a proscribed organisation.

He is due to appear in court on July 26 for continuation of his trial.
