2019 Polls: Another Age Falsification Scandal Hits APGA

Okwudili Ezenwankwo, Ewepudike Nanka in age scandal allegation WAEC result allegedly forged

It is indeed a period of thorough investigation as most of the leading APGA candidates in the 2019 general election have been hit with allegations of falsification of their date of births.

The latest is a suit filed by one Udoka Ezeonyigbo, the House of Representatives candidate of ADC in Orumba north and south federal constituency.

According to the court documents, Mr Udoka Ezeonyigbo has approached the federal high court, Awka, praying the court to disqualify Hon Okwudili Ezenwankwo from participating on the February 16, national assembly election.

The ADC candidate in the affidavits deposed to the court, said Hon Okwudili Ezenwankwo has two different brithdays as contained in his INEC form CF001 published by the Commission on January 17, 2019.

According to him, Hon Ezenwankwo’s WAEC result has his birthday as 12 October 1976 while his Permanent Voters Card has his brith date as 26 October 1976.

He is asking the court to determine:

  1. if a person can be born in two different days.
  2. if such inconsistent information as filed with INEC does not constitute a breach of the constitution.

Apart from the two different birth dates, the plaintiff also alleged that the Orumba north and south APGA candidate did not submit any birth certificate, baptismal certificate or statutory declaration of age to the electoral commission as required by law.

He went on to equally allege that Hon Okwudili Ezenwankwo’s WAEC submitted to INEC was fake.

In his originating summon, Hon Udoka Ezenyigbo stated that he found out that Hon Okwudili Ezenwankwo obtained his WAEC certificate from Community Secondary School Igbakwu in June 2011.

He wondered how the APGA candidate who also claimed in his CF001 that he was the MD of FACO MORE Oil & Gas since 2010 till date could have possibly be in attendance as a full time student of Community Secondary School, Igbakwu as required by the West African Examination Councils regulations, to be eligible to sit on May/June WASC as an internal candidate of the said school.

He alleged that the WAEC result is fake.

He therefore prayed the court to disqualify Hon Okwudili Ezenwankwo, Ewepudike Nanka from participating from the forthcoming House of Representatives election for Orumba north and south federal constituency.
