BREAKING: Court Sets Aside Imo Dep Gov Eze Madumere’s Impeachment
The Federal High Court sitting in Owerri, the Imo State capital, has set aside the impeachment of the former Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere.
Mr. Madumere, it could be recalled, was removed from office after falling out with the state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha over his choice of his successor to the state house government in 2019.
Okorocha had endorsed his son-in-law, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, to succeed him, an action that has drawn criticism from several stakeholders, both with the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress [APC], and without.
