BREAKING: Deputy leader of IPOB, Uche-Mefor endorses Constitutional Force Majeure
By Kalu Nwokoro Idika
The deputy leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Uche-Mefor has officially endorsed the constitutional force majeure championed by Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self-determination (NINAS)
The recent endorsement has sent a shock wave to followers of the separatist movement who have been in between the devil and the deep blue sea after the numerous implosions tearing the movement apart.
The estranged deputy leader of the movement in a statement through his verified Facebook page said, “We must always maintain that Biafra is our final default position and destination and bearing this in mind, it also serves the interest of Biafrans to support any moves or calculated, co-ordinated efforts to bring Nigeria to her knees.
“To this end, NINAS’s constitutional force majeure (if succeeds) is going to bring Biafra closer. Support this initiative!”
NINAS is a strong political movement which is made up of prominent leaders from various ethnic groups from the South-West, South-East, South-South and the Middle Belt.
NINAS described the 1999 Constitution as a fraud put together to perpetually subjugate other nationalities under the control of the Fulani.
The aggrieved leaders gave the Federal Government a 90-day ultimatum to constitute a committee on Sovereign National Conference to decide on the repeal of the 1999 Constitution or to dissolve Nigeria’s amalgamation of 1914.
