Breaking: DSS Invade National Assembly, Block Entrance

385

UPDATE

One of our correspondents, Mr. Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia, just sent this in:

“DSS blocked PDP Senators from accessing National Assembly while trying to use another route to smuggle in APC Senators for their undemocratic attempt to impeach the Senate President and deputy Senate President.

“Our Democracy is under threat!”

Masked and heavily armed operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) invaded the National Assembly on Tuesday.

Our correspondent reported that they blocked Senators and Staff from entering the premises.

ElombahNews had on Monday reported that the Senate will reconvene today from vacation.

Lawmakers from both chambers of the National Assembly are supposed to hold a joint session to discuss urgent matter of national importance.

See video of the blockade:

Responding to the development in the National Assembly, a concerned Nigerian, Mr. Oluyemi Fasipe reminded Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo that he is a Pastor and Professor in law.

He recalled that Vice President Osinbajo is the Acting commander in-chief of the armed forces while DSS illegally takes over the National Assembly.

He concluded by saying: “Nigerian democracy is under attack with him Prof. Osinbajo as Acting President.”
