BREAKING: Mimiko Declares To Join Presidential Race
The former governor of Ondo State, Mr. Olusegun Mimiko, on Thursday, announced that he will be joining the 2019 presidential race.
Mr. Mimiko, who recently decamped to his former party, the Labour party, will be contesting on same platform.
He made the announcement at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
With the latest declaration, Mimiko has become the third in the list to declare for presidential race under the Labour Party.
See what Mr. Deji Adeyanju said about Mimiko’s declaration on his Twitter handle:
Just listened to Mimiko declaring for president & all I can say is wow. Nigeria is so blessed with the best brains but we are so cursed with the worst leaders in the world.
Like I always say, if the entire opposition does not team up, they can’t defeat Buhari. pic.twitter.com/oKXk5Xs5H3

Just yesterday, an Onitsha-based businessman, Mr. Placid Abuchi Emmanuel picked the Party’s presidential nomination and expression of interest forms.
The aspirant was accompanied to pick the forms by some party faithfuls, supporters and admirers.
He was handed the forms by the national chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam at the party’s headquarters, Abuja.
Party bigwigs including the National Organizing Secretary, Clement Ojukwu, and the Assistant National Chairman (North Central) and others watched the brief but colourful ceremony.
Mr Emmanuel, a visible grassroots revolutionary and mass mover, told journalists that his aim is “to fix Nigeria like never before, phase out corruption and to give the nation a facelift before the international community”.
He admitted to having a very burning desire to see that public officers start ‘working the talk’ in our quest for a better nation where every citizen is equal before the law.
