Shootings were reported at Lekki Toll Gate and Alausa!

Lekki Toll Gate has been a centre of peaceful protest for 12 days. This evening armed security men were sent to shoot at unarmed #EndSARS protesters waving the Nigerian flag.

Tweeter users posted video showing “Corpses of Peaceful #EndSARS Protesters Litter The Street After Bloodbath by Soldiers”

According to a protester, “We demanded for accountability & an end to police brutality, but the government is replying back with force…#EndBadGoveranceInNigeria #EndSARS”

According to an eyewitness: “Sanwo calls for curfew. Then Sanwo Olu looks away. Police and thugs start preparing.
Lekki Toll security camera removed. Lights at Lekki Toll gets switched off. Shootings to start as soon as it turns dark. Sanwo to come later apologise and deny govt hand in it. Plan executed.”

Another tweeted: “Let it be on Record on 20th October 2020 – Governor Babjide Sanwo Olu sent people to switch off the cameras and the wiring/lighting at the Lekki toll gate then sent Gun Men to Attack Peaceful Protesters by 6:45PM #EndSARS”
