Update: Obasanjo hosts Fulani group over killings

Following the incessant kidnaps and killing pummeling the South West region by people believed to be Fulani herdsmen, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has, on Saturday, played host to representatives of Fulanis in South West at his residence at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

During the meeting, the former president advised Nigerians to stop the blame game and come together to fight the insecurity currently threatening the country’s unity.

Obasanjo stated that the unity of Nigeria is the responsibility of everyone and not just the government, hence all must join hands to fight the evil bedeviling the nation.

He reminisced way back in the 80s when the country was united and asked Nigerians to strive to maintain Nigeria as the reference point for other African countries.
