BREAKING: Super Eagles Thrash Lesotho In Maseru

Super Eagles of Nigeria have defeated their Lesothan counterparts in Maseru 4-2 in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match played on Sunday.

Two goals from Osimhen and strikes from Iwobi and Chukwueze gave the Super Eagles of Nigeria their second win of the qualifying campaign for the AFCON 2021.

The Crocodiles of Lesotho had taken the lead in the 13th minute.

Alex Iwobi levelled the scores in the 28th minute.

Chukwueze topped the lead ten minutes later.

It was 2-1 as at Half Time.

The Eagles struck again in the 75th minute through Victor Osimhen.

Nigeria broke through Ola Aina who found Osimhen from the right flank for the striker to score his first goal from open play for Nigeria and it was Lesotho 1, Nigeria 3.

Osimhen found the back of the net about nine minutes later through a counter-attack after Azeez found Osimhen who beats the on-rushing goalkeeper with his first touch making it four for Nigeria with Lesotho still at one with some six minutes to go.

An own goal by Awaziem, however, nearly took away the fun for the Eagles.

The Super Eagles, meanwhile, smiled home with the maximum three points.
