BREAKING: US Marine officer who posted viral video critical of Afghan withdrawal resigns

Lt Colonel Stuart Scheller, who called out senior Pentagon leaders following the deadly bomb attack at the Kabul airport has finally resigned from the U.S Marine corps after he was earlier relieved of his duty.
Recall that a four-minute video posted to Facebook by Scheller last week had called for “accountability” among senior Marine Corps officers for what he called a botched US withdrawal from Afghanistan.
The video was shared more than 21,000 times by other users, according to the social media platform.
“People are upset because their senior leaders let them down. And none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability or saying ‘we messed this up’,” Scheller said in the video
In a letter sighted my Elombahnews, Lt Colonel Stuart Scheller maintained that he is resigning from the Marine Corps over lack of accountability among senior Marine Corps
The letter read in part, “I tender my resignation of commission in the U.S. Marine Corps, per the reference, and request an effective date of 11 September 2021
“I do not desire to accept a commission in the U.S Marine Corps Reserve. I understand the Reserve Commission is not automatic and can only be granted at the discretion of the Secretary of Defense. I understand if I have adverse material on file, up to to 12 months may be required to process my Reserve commission
“My reason for submitting a letter of resignation: A lack of trust and confidence in your ability to lead
