Buhari Appointed Cameroonian As Army Service Chief —Analyst

A Media Consultant, Author/Essayist, Political Strategist/Activist/Pundit, Mr. Jude C. Ndukwe has blasted President Muhammadu Buhari over the recent claim credited to the ruling All Progressives Congress [APC] concerning the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in the 2019 presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Reacting to the petition instituted by Alhaji Abubakar and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] at the 2019 Presidential Election Tribunal, APC had alleged that Alhaji Abubakar is not a Nigerian, rather a Cameroonian, hence not eligible to contest the election ab initio.

Buhari/APC, therefore urged the Tribunal to disqualify Atiku and dismiss his petition as lacking the locus standi to contest the result.

Responding to the ruling party claims, Mr. Ndukwe took to his Twitter handle to lambast President Buhari.

Implying that Buhari appointed a Cameroonian by implication, he stated that “haven appointed Air Marshal I.M. Alfa, born Aug14, 1946 & from Adamawa State, as Chief of Air Staff in 1984 after his military coup, @MBuhari can’t come back to claim that @atiku isn’t a Nigerian since Armed Forces Act states that only Nigerians must be appointed Service Chiefs”.

Going further, Ndukwe stated that “by the virtue of that appointment in 1984 as Head of State, @MBuhari automatically concedes that Adamawa indigenes are full blooded Nigerians deserving of every right & privilege including aspiring for the highest office of the land.”

Citing his latest article “‘Cameroonian’ Presidential Candidate: What Atiku’s Lawyers should Tell the Tribunal”, he said that the hypocrisy of Buhari and his @OfficialAPCNg acolytes” has been exposed.
