Buhari reappoints Ugbo as NDPHC MD, ors for 4 years
3 new additional directors in the offing
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of Mr Joseph Chiedu Ugbo as the Managing Director of Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Office of the Vice President, Mr. Laolu Akande revealed this in a statement.
President Buhari also approved Messrs Babayo Shehu and Ifeoluwa Oyedele as NDPHC Executive Directors respectively.
This renewal, according to Mr. Akande, will take effect from August 25, 2020 for a period of four (4) years.
The appointment of three (3) additional directors have also been approved for more effective and efficient coverage of the company’s areas of activity.
In the mean time, the Hon.Minister of state for Power Mr. Agba Goddy and MD/CEO Niger Delta power Holding company Limited, Chiedu Ugbo, last week, paid a working visit to NDPHC’S Calabar power station along with their entourage.
During the working visit of the Hon. Minister of state to NDPHC’S Calabar power station, Engr. Kingsley Achife of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED), the MD/CEO NDPHC explained the modalities of their recently signed PPA (100MW for Calabar) to the Hon.Minister of State for Power to Odukpani Generation Power Plant.
