Buhari’s Ally, Orji Kalu Pays Solidarity Visit To Venezuela’s President Maduro
While the rest of the world are streamlining dealing with Venezuela’s president, Nicolas Maduro due to his dictatorial tendencies, a strong ally of President Muhammad Buhari from the South-East and former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu has paid a solidarity visit to the embattled president.
Senator-elect Orji Kalu was seen in a photo posted by President Maduro on his official Twitter handle on Tuesday.
During the visit, Maduro restated his commitment to strengthening the ties with Nigeria, according to a tweet on Twitter.
He also congratulated President Buhari on his recent victory at the 2019 presidential polls.
The captione on the photo reads:
“I received brother Orji Uzor Kalu, Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“I expressed my congratulations on the recent electoral victory of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.
“We ratify our willingness to continue to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation.”

Maduro is being challenged by the President of Venezuela’s National Assembly, Juan Gerardo Guaidó, who has gained support from the United States of America, as well as other world powers.
It is not clear whether Senator Kalu went on a personal capacity or in official capacity on behalf of the President Buhari’s administration.
