Reacting to the death of the Burundian President, an analyst , Umar Sa’ad told ElombahNews:
“The Burundian President ruled for 15 years & had a reputation for not only being repressive but also for being a murderer and a bigot.
“While countries that know what they are doing are simply grieving with Burundi, our own President Buhari is referring to him as a ‘true patriot’.
“The Burundian President was a dictator. Countless that dared oppose him were killed or imprisoned.
“BBC was suspended for 6 months for interviewing an activist.
“VOA too and both were off air in 2018. One man is simply mourning with Burundi while the other says he was a ‘true patriot’.”
